Long before we understood words like longevity, nervous system regulation, or bio-hacking, we absorbed our first lessons in wellbeing through observation — the women who raise us, the habits they model, and the enduring philosophies they live by.
Sometimes it’s practical: movement as a non-negotiable, nourishment through whole foods, skincare as self-care, resilience as a way of life. Sometimes it’s subtler still — the understanding that wellbeing is not indulgence, but stewardship.
For this WelleCo conversation, we meet Rebecca, a customer whose relationship with wellness has been shaped by generations of strong women. Inspired by a mother whose discipline, vitality and commitment to natural wellbeing continues to influence her daily life — and grandmothers who both lived beyond 100 — her perspective on wellness and longevity feels both deeply personal and beautifully lived.
What emerges is a reminder that being well is not simply a destination, but something inherited, interpreted and, ultimately, passed on.
-What does being 'well' mean to you?
For the past seven years I have invested in a rather intentional pursuit of optimum wellbeing through fitness, nutrition, and wellness with a deep belief that these build energy reserves. My commitment to these pillars means that I've unlocked a deeper understanding of what it means to feel well and be well, which only fuels my daily intentions and supports the concept of long-term wellness.
-How did you discover WelleCo and how does it fit into your current routine?
WelleCo has been part of my daily ritual for approximately 5 years. I was drawn to Elle Macpherson's journey and the product that was science backed. Recently, I have very much enjoyed the various readings on lymphatic practices and self-nurture, and often gain inspiration from the website narrative. I start each day with the Super Elixir, it really is the nectar of the Gods! I use the protein water and sometimes do a hit of the Immunity Elixir, and I always end the day with the Evening Elixir served with a splash of honey.
-How has your mother influenced how you see your wellness journey?
My Mum is gold. We were raised on a steady diet of discipline and productivity; required to participate and take responsibility. Whilst there was little tolerance for illness, idleness and self-indulgence, it was done with guidance, generosity of spirit and modelling. Her gift to me has always been her time, her pragmatism, and her genuine desire to support and better the lives of her family. Mum was also an amateur athlete with a career in netball and running. She completed half marathons later in life, often winning her age-category; her final one at the age of 70. She's also a non-medicator, preferring natural remedies, exercise and mental resilience to maintain her well-being. Her journey has always inspired my own.
-What does the word 'longevity' mean to you?
I recently began looking into 'longevity' as I am the fortunate descendant of two women, my maternal and paternal grandmothers who live, and lived beyond 100 years. My own mother strikes me as one who will continue this legacy, and therefore, I humbly and hopefully expect the same. Longevity for me is facing these years ahead being physically and mentally able, and knowing the outcome is determined by the practices embedded each and every day in the now. This is where WelleCo has a special place.

Sometimes the simplest conversations are the most heartfelt. We thank Rebecca for her time and reflections, and invite you to share your own. If you have a story about your relationship to wellness, or the influence other women have had in your life - please share with us on socials via DM.
